When a clerical error leads to a 17-year-old Black teenager being elected as
Louisiana's governor instead of a 67-year-old white career politician, the
young victor must navigate state politics while bringing fresh perspective
to a system desperately in need of change.
Through a comedic lens of mistaken identity, "Not Your Dick" follows Ricky
Roussel III, a charismatic teenager who unexpectedly becomes Louisiana's
governor due to a name similarity with career politician
Dick Roussel.
Wearing oversized suits and sporting a mushroom top
fade, Ricky brings street-smart wisdom and authentic
leadership to the state capitol. With his mother's
support and inspiration from his own lived experiences,
he tackles real issues like school lunch reform and
community engagement through innovative solutions like
Pelicans ticket initiatives.
The series combines political comedy with social
commentary, demonstrating how fresh perspective and
authentic leadership can revolutionize traditional
power structures.
